Messy Church where the theme was Lent
telling the story of Mary and Joseph going to Bethlehem and the birth of Jesus
Messy Church held on Saturday 23rd July
The theme was belonging and activities included:
Mirror painting: We are made in the image of God.
Cross in my pocket...remembering that God is always with us.
Heart badge: We belong to the family of God.
Heart ribbon: We belong to lots of different groups, church, family, clubs.
Treasure hunt: When we find all the pieces we complete the jigsaw.
Our lives are complete in Christ, he is our treasure and we are his.
Friendship bracelet: Jesus is the best friend we will ever have.
Water pictures: Like the sign of the cross at our baptism, it may no longer be visible but is there.
Biscuits: Our God is awesome, creator of the world and we are tiny, yet God loves us.
Footprints ????: God is always with us, even in hard times.
held on Good Friday told the story of Easter.
It was well attended by children bringing
Mums, Dads and Grandparents
a number of activities followed by the
Easter Story and a short service.
Messy Church celebrated Candlemas , the time when Jesus was taken to the temple by Mary and Josephas part of the Jewish Law.
He was seen by Simeon and Anna,
both had been waiting for the Messiah for many years.
